"bila nak kawen?"

the most famous question amongst my friends nowadays is "bila nak kawen?" atau "ko bila lagi?". it's almost annoying at times but maybe i'm used to these questions already. my simple straight forward answer would be "relax ah..ko ade calon tuk aku ke?" (in a sarcastic way). end of story.

perhaps, it's not really a weird question at this age. i'm not exactly getting any younger either. most of my girl friends (girl as a friend) are worried and are kind of desperate to find someone as a lifetime partner. most of them have good and stable jobs, and nothing else are ringing in their heads everyday long other than marriage. it's normal i suppose. seeing our friends one by one getting married and having a child and all, makes them really worried that once they reach the age of 30, it's already hopeless to find anyone interested.

truthfully, in my opinion girls are worried so much because of all the questions asked by the public, especially by the "makcik2" and by the "pakcik2". if there isn't anyone asking about it i really think that this matter won't be a problem. no one would even be bothered looking so hard if no one is pushing them to find someone.

there's also another issue, as we already know that our society has this term so call "andartu". well, you already know what that stands for. some women including my friends are racing not wanting to be in that so called area. we can't really point fingers at anyone as this phenomenon has been past from generation to generation. no one really want to be call andartu because of the public point of view.

why is it so hard for women to find a pair? my guess is women are getting smarter by the years and there are lesser smart (education wise) guys out there to choose from. this is also a problem which my friends are facing. they have high education, a great job and earn a good salary, but when it comes to choosing a partner, bang! on their list no one can really match up to them. most guys nowadays are normal working people with low salary. there are a few high educated people, likely a few professionals also. the only educated people in the list left are the "sangat gatal laki orang" who is looking for a 2nd shot, 3rd or 4th. poor my friends.

sometimes, i think of them being too choosy. but it's also hard to be in their shoes of course. parents are most likely wants their child to be paired with a well-educated-hansom-rich-tycoon. but where to find??? wake up and smell the fresh air. welcome to reality! if there is any, he's probably have been booked by a rich-hot-looking-model. all hopes are lost? maybe there's still hope. lets dream a prince charming will come on a white horse and say "marry me dear, you complete me!!!" yeah..yeah..in your dreams. well, why not choose someone with iman in their hearts, that's probably a way to go. or is iman not enough to put up with all the money you have in the bank? it's your choice. your life.

for me, this issue isn't a big deal. they say as guys get older they increases their "saham". i don't really know how far and true that fact goes but i'm not intending to find out. haha~

so, to all my friends, don't worry so much. when time comes, it will be your turn next to be the "king & queen" for a day. insyaAllah. keep your faith in Him. let Him be your guidance. believe and keep believing.

i felt like it's been ages since i wrote something down. i've been stuck in a box all this while cause of other things to bear in mind and this is all i can come up with. yet i'm not that satisfied with this normal issue. however better to write something than nothing at all.
